Steve Quarnstrom joined Fairbourne Properties in September 2025 as Director of Construction, bringing over 35 years of experience in commercial real estate, including construction, development, design, and project management.
In his role, Steve provides oversight of all construction activities across the firm’s portfolio, including capital projects, tenant coordination, and planning. He partners closely with property teams and consultants nationwide to manage and execute both owner-driven and tenant-related construction initiatives, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently and to a high standard.
Prior to joining Fairbourne, Steve held senior leadership roles with several prominent real estate organizations, including Senior Director of Construction at Starwood Properties, Senior Director of Operations at General Growth Properties, and Development Manager at Urban Retail Properties. Throughout his career, he has led a
wide range of projects across the retail, hospitality, and regional shopping center sectors.
His project experience includes ground-up shopping centers and big-box developments, major mall renovations, and large-scale capital improvement programs. Steve holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Illinois at Urbana-
Champaign.
